I’m so excited to announced that Summer of Secrets has been been shortlisted for one of the prestigious Romantic Novel of the Year Awards! These are given out every year by the Romantic Novelists Association in the UK. Falling into different categories, such as Contemporary Romantic Novel, Romantic Suspense  Historical Romance and so on, Summer of Secrets was up for The Goldsboro Books Historical Romantic Novel of the Year Award. The category winners will be announced on March 4 in London and the competition is fierce, so I’m not holding my breath but it’s brilliant just to be nominated, attend a fancy do, and meet the other writers.

UPDATE: All nominees were invited to a glamorous party at Whitehall. The venue was all high ceilings, gilded cornicing and red carpets (pictures here!), there was champagne and canapés, and even the loos were super-chic! The whole experience was so thrilling that I didn’t mind not winning. Well, maybe just a little bit. But Santa Montefiore won in my category, and very deservedly so.
